Professor Dr. Engr. Md Lutfor Rahman (Retd) is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering with 22 years of teaching experience. His field of research includes phase change heat transfer, heat transfer enhancement, heat pipes and thermodynamic investigation of internal combustion engines. Currently, Professor Dr. Engr. Md Lutfor Rahman (Retd) is serving as the Vice Chancellor of City University, Dhaka. Before that, he has served as the Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology, (BAUST), Saidpur Cantonment. Md Lutfor Rahman has served more than 30 years in Bangladesh Army, retiring as a Brigadier General from the EME corp. During his tenure in Bangladesh Army, Brigadier General Md Lutfor Rahman has held various command and staff appointments. He has attended two UN missions in Kuwait and Liberia. Brigadier General Professor Dr. Engr. Md Lutfor Rahman (Retd) was one of the founding members of Military Institute of Science and Technology and has overseen the inception and the development of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
